In this residential project, Yuliya Forrest designed a studio apartment in Aberdeen for a successful woman — a lawyer with a cultivated sense of style and a deep appreciation for calm, timeless beauty. The challenge was to create a space that would reflect her personality: elegant yet warm, classic yet not outdated, and above all — deeply personal.

Inspired by the principles of American classic design, Yuliya brought together graceful lines, gentle lighting, and a soft, inviting colour palette. The interior features:

Furniture with classic silhouettes, reimagined for compact living;
Warm neutrals and delicate pastels — including blush, ivory, and soft taupe;
Layered textures through fabric, panelled finishes, and decorative details;
Thoughtful zoning that ensures privacy and comfort within an open-plan studio;
Functional elegance — custom solutions that hide clutter while maintaining harmony.

This project demonstrates how classic design can feel both fresh and emotionally grounding when tailored with care. The apartment doesn’t follow fleeting trends — it offers a quiet luxury that lasts.
