This refined and characterful apartment was designed for a successful businesswoman who lives between several countries and calls Minsk one of her homes. The property is located in a historic building — a classic Stalin-era house on Engelsa Street — with soaring 3-meter ceilings and a prime location in the very heart of the city.
When the client approached us, she had already had an unsuccessful experience with another design firm. Her main request was to feel heard and understood — to create a home that would reflect her personality, taste, and lifestyle, while honouring the heritage of the building.
Yuliya’s vision for the project was to respect the architectural DNA of the era while seamlessly blending in contemporary elegance. The apartment was designed using only luxurious, tactile materials: natural parquet flooring, polished marble, hand-painted wall art, rich wood textures, and custom murals. The living room features large-scale frescoes depicting vegetation and natural motifs, subtly setting a tone of serenity and timelessness.
Classic heritage, reimagined with elegance
The home is also filled with carefully curated artwork, some of which was commissioned specifically to complement the interior. The result is a truly personal and elegant space that balances historic character with modern sophistication.
Although the apartment is already complete and the owner has moved in, we are now finalising the final decorative touches. As the client frequently travels between countries, she has chosen to personally participate in each stage of selecting the finishing elements. Yuliya continues to work closely with her during her visits to Belarus, refining every detail together to perfection.
