Reset Coffee Bar: Coffee Shop Interior Design for a Small Café

A compact café interior in central Moscow, developed from concept to completed space.

30 м²

Reset Coffee Bar is a compact café project located on the lower ground floor of a Silver City business centre in Moscow, next to a fitness club. The original space felt grey, functional and slightly gloomy. It lacked warmth, colour and a clear point of attraction.

The client wanted more than a simple coffee counter. The brief was to create a small café that would feel welcoming, attract attention and support the business commercially. With only a limited number of tables allowed, the design had to make every element work carefully.

Yuliya Forrest developed a bold concept based on warmth, contrast and visual appetite. Deep black, warm orange, ribbed cladding, integrated lighting and greenery were used to create a strong identity within a compact footprint. The orange tones bring energy and warmth, while the black elements give the coffee bar a confident contemporary look.

The bar became the main visual focus of the space. Warm lighting highlights the shelving, counter and display areas. Planter dividers help define the seating zone without closing it off. Terrazzo style tables, black and cognac chairs, greenery and illuminated branding create a café area that feels intentional, comfortable and easy to notice.

A small café can change the mood of an entire floor.

The project included the design concept, 3D visualisation and completed interior. The final space closely reflects the original design direction and shows how a compact hospitality area can transform the atmosphere of a much larger environment.

Reset Coffee Bar became a warmer, brighter and more memorable part of the lower ground floor. Although small in scale, the project shows how effective coffee shop interior design can improve customer experience, strengthen a commercial space and create a clear destination within a busy building.

Results

The result is a compact coffee bar with a strong visual identity and a much warmer, more inviting atmosphere.

Colour became the key design tool in this project. The combination of deep black, warm orange, soft lighting and greenery transformed a grey lower ground floor corner into a place people notice, remember and want to visit.

Reset Coffee Bar now feels brighter, more confident and more commercially attractive. The design helped turn a previously overlooked area into a small but distinctive coffee destination within the business centre — proving that even a compact hospitality space can create real impact when colour, lighting and layout are used thoughtfully.
