After the successful transformation of The Parkway Inn, the same clients returned with a new challenge — to breathe life into The Highland Function Suite, a banquet hall with incredible potential but in a neglected state.
Building on the strong relationship and mutual trust established during our previous collaboration, Yuliya approached the space with a vision to retain its raw charm while infusing it with light, warmth, and modern flair. Some of the original brickwork was preserved and painted in a soft beige tone, creating a neutral canvas for the rest of the design.
To open up the space and make it feel vibrant and welcoming, Yuliya introduced curved ceiling neon lighting — a bold yet elegant feature that adds rhythm and visual movement. Soft wood tones were brought in through the flooring and the bar counter, balancing the brightness with warmth. Subtle ambient lighting was used throughout, including dynamic RGB color-changing effects hidden behind decorative plasterboard panels — bringing the walls to life, especially in evening settings.
From forgotten to unforgettable
Working within a limited budget, the design relied on clever, cost-effective solutions to create a striking atmosphere. The result is a multifunctional space that feels both modern and inviting, perfect for weddings, parties, and corporate events.
